The power of photography
Great photography isn’t defined by how it makes you feel, but how it moves you to act. We act when we’re drawn into a photograph, sharing in that moment of beauty, pain or joy. It reminds us of our shared humanity and encourages us to reach out a hand in solidarity. I believe in the power of the human spirit, and capturing it in pictures is my life's work.
Experience
My team and I produce exhibition quality photography to highlight important issues and move people with a conscience into action. By working closely with our clients and the subjects of our photography, we seek to develop a coherent visual narrative through the body of every project. This enables us to present our photography as a tool to advance a cause, not just illustrate it.
The pictures we deliver are used by development and human rights organisations, government departments and commercial bodies. The work is published internationally and has been exhibited in the UK and European Parliaments, The Hague, St Paul's Cathedral, The World Bank in Washington and the Museum of Natural History in New York, and the Natural History Museum in London.

Philosophy
Our starting point is to see photography as rooted in relationships – between the photographer and subject, and between the subject and their environment. The task of authentically portraying the subject in their environment is at the heart of meaningful humanitarian photography. What matters to us is showing real people doing real things that matter to them. In seeking to achieve this, we work to create a co-operative and open relationship between photographer and subject. The subjects of our photography should genuinely want to participate in the process, and we should share a common sense of what is being communicated.
